While many people in Louisiana speak French, Spanish is the unofficial second language of southern areas like California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Florida. Until World War II German was the language used throughout the mid-west to print texbooks, following Hitler’s reign and the national distate of all learn spanish software things German, texbooks began being reprinted in English, eventually sending the German language slowly into obscurity. Considering the very diverse linguistic history enjoyed by citizens of the U.S., it’s hard to see just where their objections to the Spanish language “from sea to shining sea” comes from.
